About Chapman Latimer

Chapman Latimer was set up by three enthusiastic people with many years experience in education, computing and the working environment. The aim of the company is to give young people the practical experience of using computers in the working environment. Chapman Latimer's staff have many years experience teaching in secondary schools, lecturing in both FE and HE, and delivering ICT training within companies throughout the UK.

They have a vast amount of knowledge in developing courseware and e-learning materials, having worked for companies such as UfI – LearnDirect and CiA Training Ltd.

With the growth of computer use in the workplace, it is now essential that young people are given the opportunity to experience how ICT is used within companies, and Chapman Latimer are developing a range of simulated programs to give that experience.

The user is placed in the position of responsibility within a company, and after an initial period of training, has to carry out specific tasks related to their job. Initially there are five workplaces: a retail environment, a manufacturing company, a leisure centre, a hairdressers and a garage.
